About Me.

Lissette Diaz

Born in Mexico, Guadalajara Jalisco

Lives & works in Los Angeles, CA

Lissette Diaz was born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. After completing her two associate degrees of Studio Art and Anthropology at Long Beach City College (LBCC), she continued her education at CSULB to obtain a Bachelors in Animation and a minor in Film. She hopes to further her education at UCLA and obtain her Masters in Animation in order to build her own company. Lissette hopes to intertwine her Anthropology interests with her animation to create relatable, diverse and entertaining characters.

Most of her work is focused on building character design sheets and storyboards. She also writes her own stories which have been featured in LBCC's English club’s magazine. Most of her writing is about the struggles People of Color and immigrants have faced, and she hopes to build an animated show in the future about these communities in order to voice out their experiences. She uses her Anthropology degree to properly represent the people she draws and writes about.
